Following their victory at the UEFA Women’s Championship in 2022, the Lionesses will be keen to retain the pride of the nation as they take to the field again this year. The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia and will run from the 20th July until the 20th August.

The England team have been placed into Group D and will need to defeat Haiti, Denmark and China PR in the group matches to progress through the competition to the round of sixteen, quarter finals, semi finals and, we all hope, the finals.

There is no doubt that following their success last year, their fixtures will be firmly marked in the calendars of both businesses and individuals across the length and breadth of the country. If your business is keen to show its support or stock a range of World Cup essentials for onward sale, we recommend ordering early as we anticipate a marked uptake in sporting merchandise over the coming weeks.

Our range of flags are always popular for celebrating sporting events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Large flags can be attached to flag poles, homes or business facades to demonstrate national pride, whilst those who are lucky enough to attend a match in person will be pleased to learn that our range of polythene or polyester hand waving flags and car flags are small and sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of international travel.

With a choice of the Union Jack or the St George Cross, every flag in our range can be customised with your business logo, name or motto. We also stock Union Jack bunting, which has always proved very popular with pubs, cafes, village halls and other local businesses and charities, particularly those that will be broadcasting the Lionesses matches live and wish to attract maximum attention.

We recommend that retailers take the opportunity to stock up on a variety of flag types and sizes ahead of this exciting sporting fixture to ensure that your customers will be delighted with the choice on offer.

Businesses that plan to issue promotional merchandise to customers, clients or staff to commemorate this event may elect to offer pens, fridge magnets or trolley tokens in addition to flags, as these small and lightweight items can easily be included in mail drops or be offered at the point of sale.
