King Charles Coronation

King Charles III will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023. The coronation of a new monarch is not only a historic event in the nation’s history but also a chance for the whole country to come together to celebrate and share the occasion with other nations around the world.

The coronation is a marking of the passing of power to the King and the point at which King Charles III assumes his formal role as the Head of State. To celebrate this momentous occasion, there will be various events organised by the Palace and local governments, and the UK will also have an extra Bank Holiday on the 8th of May 2023.
